Before: Previously TR'd with virgin grow out. Med-fine texture, med-thick density
After: Day of service. All clients leave with flatironed hair - not a reflection of true results
After: 4 days later, after first wash. Finger blowdry, no products, no flatironing. TR's ends blend with BKT'd hair.
After: 1 month later. Hair was airdried, no product, no flatironing.
After: Wave is starting to come back underneath.
Before: Previously TR'd with semi-permanent, colored, very curly grow-out. Fine texture, medium density.
After: 6 weeks later. Hair was air dried, no product. Client says that she normally blow drys her hair which makes it much straighter than air drying. Hair is parted to show waviest section.
Before: Semi-permanently colored. Fine texture, medium-fine density. Dry ends with some split ends.
After: Test strand section on right side shows the lightening of color experienced by everyone who colors their hair the same tone or darker with a semi-permanent color. Lightening does not appear to happen with highlights or to the same degree with permanent dark color
Before: 1/2 black, 1/2 European. Very dry, some split ends. Semi-permanent colored. Medium texture, medium-high density.
After: 4 days later after first wash. Around 30% of wave still present. Still very curly at roots, straighter at ends.
Bends: A 2" section held up to show breakage from bends. Client first came to us hoping we could fix her hair by restraightening it. Client had between 50% to 70% breakage on crown due to bends. The broken hair was about 3/4" long. Hairs could easily be popped off at right angle bends. Client turned away because a successful TR could not be cone at the time. Client called back for a BKT when BKT became available.
Before: TR'd hair (performed in LA) with 1 1/2" of new growth. Totally damaged all over. Ends completely fried, scalp breakage. Patchy wave and kinks throughout. No color services on hair. Medium-fine texture, low-med density.
After: 4 days later after first wash, finger blow dry, no products, no flatironing. Ends still very damaged. Overall smoothing made hair appear much healthier. No added bend breakage. Right angles completely straightened out and were harder to pop off. Client was very pleased with results.
After: 7 weeks later, airdried. Client scheduled 2nd BKT because underneath was reverting. Bends still straight at crown, no further bend breakage.
Before: Virgin, fine texture, med-high density. Hair went curly after 2 pregnancies.
After: 4 days later, before first wash. Client did not keep hair straight during waiting period.
After: After first wash, finger blowdry, no product, no flatiron.
After: 2 months later, air dried. Parted to show curliest section. Hair looks very healthy and original curl pattern does not appear to be altered by BKT process.
Before: 1/4 black, 3/4 European. Med-coarse texture, med-high density. Very dry, damaged split hair. Complete bleach with bleached highlights, recently darkened to level shown in photo.
After: 4 days later after first wash and finger blow dry. Very damaged ends were not repaired looking, but felt very soft and healthy. Overall shine was noted.
After: 1 month later. Hair was air dried with leave-in conditioner. Slight wave appearing at nape of neck. Hair is still smooth, soft and healthy looking.
Before: Virgin, coarse texture. Med-high density. 10% to 20% gray in areas. Very dry ends, some split ends.
After: Finished look the day of service. Very straight, flatironed.
After: 4 days later after first wash and finger blow dry. Before hair was blown dry, around 30% wave still visible. After dry, hair was straight with body. Ends slightly cupped under.
